Online Program Benefits

Fully Accredited

Our program is fully accredited, ensuring that your diploma is recognized and respected by colleges and employers. With this credential, you're equipped for success in your post-graduation journey.

Convenience

With our virtual learning option, you have the convenience of attending classes and completing assignments from the comfort of your home. For students, it's extra free time for passions and responsibilities. And for parents, it means saving valuable time and money on commuting and transportation costs.

Safety
Your safety is our top priority. In the face of school shootings and COVID concerns, going to campus can be unsettling for students and families. With OP, you can prioritize your studies from the safety of your own home.
Flexible Pace
We understand that every student is unique. Our program allows you to tailor the number of credits you take to align perfectly with your graduation goals, life commitments and overall well being.
Dedicated Teacher
The student-teacher relationship is the heart of our program! At OP, students remain with their dedicated homeroom teacher throughout their journey, even as they advance to higher grade levels, creating a sense of continuity that eases student anxiety.
College Prep
OP provides a diverse range of A-G approved courses, ensuring your readiness for UC and CSU admissions. Our post-secondary counselors are also here to assist you in preparing for college admissions and organizing free campus tours at renowned universities.
Counseling
At OP, we prioritize student well-being, offering a range of confidential, cost-free counseling and partner resources to support students dealing with both chronic and acute mental health challenges.
Clubs
Explore your interests and passions by joining our extracurricular clubs, where you can connect with like-minded students and pursue your hobbies! We have several virtual themed clubs students can join including ASB, Cooking, Gaming, Anime, Parenting, Crafting and more!
Career Exploration
We offer resources and support for career exploration, helping you identify your strengths and interests as you plan for the future! In addition to job fairs and career-focused events, you can also dive into high-demand Career Technical Education (CTE) courses in fields like healthcare and IT.

“What I enjoyed the most at OP was that teachers/counselors are there to help whenever students need them. I also enjoy that you can do homework at your own pace without feeling stressed or pressured to finish it the next day like regular school. I like that I had more free time to do things.”

Lizette, graduated 22-23

“I enjoyed the flexibility, independence, and personal responsibility it allowed and required of me. It gave me the freedom to work and explore different interests and begin research and pursuit of my career after high school. I would not have many of the opportunities I have now if I wasn't doing OP.”

Mandy, no leave code in SIS yet

“I enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and know if I finished my work early I would have time to do other productive activities. This past year has been really busy and being able to do this took a lot of stress off of my shoulders.”

Diana, graduated 22-23

“I was really grateful for the flexible hours, speaking as a mom it's not easy to have a schedule with a baby, every day is different.”

Stephanie, graduated 22-23

FAQs

Is this a diploma program?

Yes! While some virtual schools only offer a certificate of completion, graduates of OFY Online Programs hold an accredited diploma recognized by the state board of education.

Are OFY Online Programs accredited?

Yes, OFY is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) which awards schools that demonstrate public good, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to continual improvement. A diploma earned from OFY bears the official WASC accreditation seal.

Can I retake classes at OFY Online that I’ve previously failed at another school?

Absolutely. You can retake any courses you need for graduation with one-on-one support from your teacher.

When are classes held?

Most of OFY Online is structured for independent progress, meaning that you can complete your coursework whenever you’d like, but under the guidance of a caring and dedicated homeroom teacher.

How often will I meet with my teacher?

To start, every student will meet with their teacher virtually twice a week. As you progress in the program, you and your teacher will decide whether once or twice a week fits your needs best. They may recommend that you also meet with one of our friendly tutors if you’re struggling in a particular subject.

What is the cost of tuition?

OFY hybrid and online programs are completely free for students.

When can I enroll?

OFY Online operates year-round so you can enroll anytime! Unlike other virtual diploma programs, you won’t have to repeat any of the courses you’ve already passed—you can pick up exactly where you left off with your last school.

What extracurricular programs are available to Online Program students?

There are loads of free virtual clubs and activities available to OFY Online Program students—from ASB to anime to music. And because OFY also operates brick-and-mortar schools, you get the best of both worlds! You can participate in the sports leagues (basketball, football, volleyball, and soccer), dances, and trips available to all OFY students.

How does the OFY Online Program prepare students for life after graduation?

In addition to honing soft skills like time management and accountability through independent study, OFY Online Program students receive expansive college and career preparation support—you’ll meet with a post-secondary counselor every semester to review progress toward graduation and plan for college admissions. You will also have access to a wide catalog of Career Technical Education (CTE) courses in high-growth industries such as healthcare, IT, and construction. We also host a variety of college tours, job fairs, and other career exploration events in both virtual and in-person formats.

OUR TEAM

OFY teachers, staff members, and administrators are among the most caring and dedicated you’ll find in education. You will always be greeted with a warm welcome when you enter our virtual doors.
