LOS ANGELES, CA — August 4, 2025 — Options For Youth (OFY), a tuition-free public charter school, proudly announces the launch of its new campaign, “Own Your Different”, aimed at celebrating student individuality and breaking the mold of traditional education. For over 35 years, Options For Youth has been at the forefront of reimagining high school—serving as one of California’s pioneering and acclaimed charter schools. Built on a foundation of flexibility, personalized learning, and inclusivity, OFY has empowered thousands of students to take control of their education.
In a world where students often feel pressured to fit in, OFY’s “Own Your Different” campaign empowers young people to embrace what makes them unique—whether that’s their schedule, learning style, personal challenges, or dreams for the future.
“At OFY, we’ve always believed there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all student,” said Ileana Kiriakos, Superintendent at Options For Youth. “This campaign is a celebration of what makes each of us unique. It’s a reminder that our differences are not just part of who we are—they’re the spark that fuels our dreams and the foundation for a future only we can create.”
In a world where students are often expected to conform, OFY’s campaign sends a clear message: your differences are your superpowers.
“Own Your Different” highlights include:
- Personalized learning plans tailored to students’ needs and goals
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate work, parenting, or life challenges
- Small-group instruction and mental health support for a focused, caring environment
- Career pathways and credit recovery programs that help students get back on track and graduate prepared
A Campaign Rooted in Real Stories:
The campaign will roll out across digital platforms, social media, and community events in California including Sacramento, Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County and more. It features real student stories that highlight perseverance, identity, and success outside the traditional path.
“As a student, I was able to work at my own pace,” shared Husna Sabeer, an OFY graduate. “It helped me get ahead, finish my classes, and graduate faster than I would have in a traditional public school.”
